1 Month Anniversary!!!

I just realized I made it a whole month taking and posting pics for my 365 project. Yaaaaaaaayyyyyyy Me!!!

31/365

I am very excited about this picture. My Son had his 1st live show performing with his band Peachy Widow. They played at an open mic night at On Tap. I did some research on line and in a couple of books on how to shoot in low light without a flash. I am very thankful that I had the foresight to research this before hand. I set my camera to AV programmed the highest ISO for the most light to enter and the lowest F-stop for action. If I had a better lens I would've been able to set the f-stop to 2.4 but my lens only allowed me to go to f4. I wish I brought my tripod but I had never been there before and was unsure about the room set-up. I am still thrilled with the outcome. I shot over 100 pics while they were on stage. I only deleted a few.

30/365

Grrrrrrrr!!!I am getting increasingly irritated with my new camera. I absolutely love it but it never wants to do what I want it to...lol. I have purchased a video on how to use an SLR and I am slowly seeing better results. So many functions! This is much harder than using my point and shoot. Anyway, I was practicing some of the things I learned on the video. Not exactly what I wanted but it will do for now.

This is Grey Girl. She's a Maine Coon cat. She's a little love bug.  I couldn't resist taking this shot. She's so cute.

28/365

I love my new camera but I find it challenging. It has many more features than I am used to. It will be a slow learning curve for sure.

27/365

I'm still struggling with making my collages turn out the way I planned but I guess that's all part of the process. I used chalk on the crossword puzzle but I think I should've tried acrylic or watercolor paint.

26/365

Made another collage today.  I'm not getting the final effect I envision in my head. Still working on this collage technique. I start in one direction and then the collage turns into something else.

25/365

I am starting a collage series. My goal is to do a minimum of 3 collages per week. It will be interesting how my collages will develop and differ over time. I can spend hours looking at other peoples collages. This is the first of my series.

15/365

It was late,  I was tired and realized I hadn't taken my 365 shot yet.  I almost fell into my old routine of procrastination telling myself I'll just take 2 pics tomorrow.  I convinced myself that if I slide 1 day, it would give me license to slide on future days and this project would never reach it's full potential. I quickly grabbed the nearest thing to me and started shooting. This is a dried flower from a bowl sitting on my end table. Now I will dream sweetly with no guilt.

I just bought my 1st WTJ. I can't put it down! It is all consuming! I absolutely love it! I had to force myself to put it down just so I could do my 365 photo. I'm sure it will be calling to me tonight as I dream of ways to wreck it!

Paper swap

I am so excited to be part of a paper swap in Feb. Check out this blog for details!

Had a wonderful day with my Husband walking downtown Burlington in a blizzard! We took shelter at Bennington Potters North and discovered this vintage safe in the basement. It is still operational. I love the beautiful patterns and colors.
